Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 23 July 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Zeitlup Terms of Service and applies whenever you use the Service. It explains the rules everyone follows so the Service stays safe, lawful, and reliable for every business on it.

1. What this covers

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do with Zeitlup. It is part of our Terms of Service — breaking it is a breach of those Terms and can lead us to suspend or close your account.

2. Don't break the law

Don't use the Service for anything illegal, or to store, promote, or carry out unlawful activity. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use, and don't infringe anyone's intellectual-property or privacy rights.

3. Only upload data you're allowed to

You must have a lawful basis to collect and store any personal information you put into the Service about your own clients. You are the controller of that data; we process it for you under our Data Processing Addendum.

Sensitive information — such as health details, allergies, skin or medical conditions, or anything similar you might note about a client — needs extra care. Before you store this kind of information in the Service, you must obtain any explicit consent the law requires (for example, under the GDPR), and collect no more than you genuinely need.

4. Keep messages honest and consented

The Service sends transactional messages on your behalf — booking confirmations, reminders, and similar. Don't turn these into marketing: adding promotional content (offers, upsells, newsletters) to a reminder can make it a commercial message that requires the recipient's consent under anti-spam laws such as CASL (Canada) and the TCPA/CAN-SPAM (United States).

You are responsible for having the consent needed to message your clients, for honoring opt-outs, and for identifying yourself as the sender. If you send marketing through or alongside the Service, that consent is yours to obtain and prove.

5. Don't abuse or attack the Service

  • Don't probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our written permission, or try to access data that isn't yours.
  • Don't interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users — for example through excessive automated requests, or by circumventing limits or security measures.
  • Don't resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written agreement.
  • Don't use the Service to build a competing product, or to scrape it at scale.

6. Fair use of resources

Use the Service in the ordinary way it's meant to be used. Automated or abnormally heavy usage that degrades the Service for others, or that goes well beyond normal booking-software patterns, isn't permitted, and we may apply reasonable limits.

7. Enforcement

If you breach this Policy we may warn you, limit or suspend your account, or — for serious or repeated breaches — close it, in line with our Terms of Service. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why. Questions about what's allowed? Email support@zeitlup.com.
